Hardly any journey in Ibiza takes more than half an hour, and many are slow runs between villages with plenty of stops. That is exactly where a hybrid works best. Hybrid car hire in Ibiza means less fuel, a quieter drive and still a comfortable, roomy car.

Three hybrids to rent, for three kinds of trip

The Mercedes GLE 350e is a large plug-in hybrid SUV with 333 hp and all-wheel drive. With a charged battery, short trips can be done on electric power alone, in near silence, and the petrol engine steps in when needed. It suits families or groups of five who want space and comfort.

The Mercedes GLA is also a plug-in hybrid, but a compact one: 218 hp, five seats and a size that parks easily in the villages. If you will be driving all over the island, it strikes the best balance between electric running and everyday ease.

The Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid is a small SUV with mild-hybrid technology. It does not drive on electric power alone, but the system assists the engine and cuts fuel use, especially in town. Easy to park and very economical for getting around the island every day.

Looking for an electric car rental in Ibiza?

We do not have fully electric cars in the fleet at the moment. If you want to cover most of your trips without using petrol, the GLE 350e and the GLA are the closest options: both plug in and have enough electric range for typical island journeys. Even better if your villa or hotel has a charging point.

Do you have electric cars for rent in Ibiza?

We do not have fully electric cars at the moment. The closest options are our plug-in hybrids, the Mercedes GLE 350e and the Mercedes GLA, which with a charged battery can cover much of the island's driving on electric power alone, as most trips are short. If your accommodation has a charging point, you can make even more of it.

What is the difference between a plug-in hybrid and a mild hybrid?

A plug-in hybrid, like the GLE 350e or the GLA, has a battery you charge from a socket, which lets it run on electric power alone for a good number of kilometres. A mild hybrid, like the Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid, cannot drive on electricity alone: its system helps the petrol engine when pulling away and at low speeds, cutting fuel use, especially in town.

Where do you deliver the hybrid?

To the airport, the private aviation terminal, your hotel or villa, or the port. You choose the delivery point when you book and then give us the exact address and time. If your accommodation has a charging point, even better for the plug-in models: you can start every day with a full battery.

What insurance can I choose?

On our hybrids you can choose insurance with an excess or fully comprehensive cover with no excess, depending on the peace of mind you want on your trip. To confirm the terms for a specific model, message us on WhatsApp before you hire. As well as insurance, you can add extras such as a baby seat, a booster seat, an additional driver or GPS when you book.
